	we all have our private terrors those of us who linger in the realms of the living, the partly living wedged between a grey sky and the bitter sea a world of countless fears threatening to unskin our brains and tear out our hearts though we are haunted by nightmares of our lives and deaths in a void apart we go on living, partly living tossed about in waves of impenetrable mystery and question we are but small folk living, partly living among small things between a grey sky and the bitter sea in our twilight world all things become less real and we drift from unreality to unreality passing from deception to deception our rotten vessels heaving caught in the intractable tide the unrelenting push and pull we feebly nourish a wasting hope while terror shifts eternally beneath us in our dreams we hover above a thousand sword points while we await the rise of a new constellation but in our waking we look out to find we yet remain wedged between a grey sky and the bitter sea
